Climate Management as a Business Case
On September 30, 2026, the Climate Protection Business Network will host the free webinar “Climate Management as a Business Case.” It is conducted in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institutes IST, IPK, and IPA as part of the Fraunhofer Group for Production, and the Unternehmensnetzwerk Klimaschutz UNK (engl.: climate protection business network).
The webinar will focus on how companies can implement climate protection measures in a way that is both ecologically effective and economically viable. It is being held in response to rising regulatory requirements – such as those under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) – growing customer expectations, and increasing competitive pressure.
The webinar will present a scientifically grounded Fraunhofer approach to developing decarbonization strategies. Participants will learn how climate protection measures can be evaluated using ecological and economic criteria. Factors taken into account include future economic scenarios, potential emission reductions, and the respective abatement costs. Based on this, companies can identify particularly efficient and cost-effective measures.
The webinar provides a practical demonstration of how corporate climate management can be developed into a viable business case.
A second webinar covering the same content will take place on January 27, 2027.
