12th International Conference on Hot-Wire Chemical Vapor Deposition (HWCVD12)
The 12th International Conference on Hot-Wire Chemical Vapor Deposition (HWCVD12) will take place in Jiujiang (Jiangxi Province, China) from June 7 to 9, 2026. This internationally renowned conference brings together leading scientists from across the entire HWCVD ecosystem. The aim of the event is to discuss current research findings, technological developments, and industrial applications in the field of coating technologies and to further strengthen collaboration between basic research, equipment development, and industrial application.
The conference will place a special focus on the following topics:
- Fundamentals: Gas and surface chemistry, reaction mechanisms, catalysis, modeling, and simulation
- Processes: HWCVD, Cat-CVD, iCVD, and other CVD variants
- Materials: Silicon-based materials, semiconductors, polymers, metals, and composites
- Structures: Thin films, coatings, nanostructures, and particle systems
- Applications: Energy generation and storage, photovoltaics, electronics, hydrogen technologies, sensor technology, and much more
- Commercialization: Scaling, technology transfer, and industrial systems
Fraunhofer IST will be represented by Dr. Volker Sittinger, Head of the Diamond-Based Systems Department, who will give a presentation on his current work on the large-area deposition of silicon-based coatings and will provide insights into their diverse applications.
