MasterClass: Energy Efficiency in Manufacturing
The MasterClass is a practical training course on energy efficiency in manufacturing, which will take place in Singapore on September 16–17 and is organized by the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). In light of rising energy costs, increasing regulatory requirements, and the need for decarbonization in manufacturing, this topic is highly relevant. The MasterClass is therefore aimed in particular at professionals in the fields of factory operations, energy management, and digital transformation. Participants will acquire in-depth knowledge and practical skills to increase energy efficiency in manufacturing environments.
- The MasterClass covers the following learning units:
- Holistic Factory Understanding from Energy Perspective
- Strategic Issues of Energy Management
- Machines and Processes
- Process Chain
- Technical Building Services
- Data Analytics and Visualization on Machine Level
- Energy-Oriented Cyber-Physical Systems
- Energy-Oriented Simulation of Factories
- Translating Learning into Implementation
The program includes hands-on sessions at the ModelFactory@SIMTech.
The MasterClass will be led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Herrmann, director of the Fraunhofer IST and professor for Sustainable Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering at TU Braunschweig, in collaboration with Dr.-Ing. Mark Mennenga, deputy head of the Chair of Sustainable Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering at the TU of Braunschweig.
