Trade fairs and conferences

The IBPC, an important conference on battery production, will take place for the eighth time on November 5-6, 2025, in Braunschweig. Given the key role batteries play in the success of the mobility and energy transitions, this topic of battery production is highly relevant. The battery industry has already made great strides in production capacity, energy density, fast charging capability, and costs. However, further innovations in materials and technologies are needed to transfer these advances to mass production. In addition, there remains an urgent need to improve energy consumption, raw material requirements, and carbon footprint. The new EU Battery Regulation focuses on recycling and a sustainable circular economy. In addition, the development of a European battery industry to ensure resilient supply chains is becoming increasingly important. Against this backdrop, the IBPC provides a platform to discuss current developments and research related to circular battery production, including recycling and the circular economy. This year's focus will be on the following topics:

• Electrode and cell production
• Analytics and applications
• Development and production of innovative next-generation batteries
• Recycling and sustainability
