During the self-study phase, you will be given access to our learning platform. You can control your learning pace and the desired depth of knowledge individually. After completing the training, you will have access to the materials for one year.

The live online sessions take place alongside the self-study phase. These virtual meetings serve as networking opportunities, introductions to the topics, or opportunities for in-depth study, and offer the chance to engage in direct exchange with our experts and clarify any questions you may have about the e-learning courses in FAQ sessions. The three live online meetings focus on the following topics:

The live online course ends at this point. In the hybrid course, the online phase is combined with a face-to-face workshop.

Certification

Personal certification “Hydrogen expert with TÜV Rheinland-certified qualification”

Following the hybrid course and the live online course, you will have the opportunity to take an online exam to obtain the TÜV certificate. Upon successful completion, you will be entitled to use the title “Hydrogen expert with TÜV Rheinland-certified qualification.”

The certificate confirms that you have specific knowledge of hydrogen and its applications, enabling you to recognize and assess the relevance of hydrogen for climate neutrality. This supports the credibility of your expertise with employers, customers, or project partners. It can also help you take on new tasks or projects and open doors to networks and specialist circles.

Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST

The Fraunhofer IST is guiding the Wasserstoff Campus Salzgitter from a scientific perspective. The IST stands for layer and surface technology with competences for its associated products and product systems. The range of services by the institute includes the development of materials and processes for electrolyzers, hydrogen storage and fuel cells, as well as the planning of the entire value chain from its production to storage and distribution to its use.

At the Wasserstoff Campus Salzgitter, the economically viable provision and utilization of hydrogen is to be researched and tested; as a result, train travel should become more environmentally friendly and steel should become greener in the future.
