WAM Saudi 2026

The World Advanced Manufacturing Exhibition (WAM) will take place in Riyadh from February 15 to 17, 2026, and is an international platform for advanced manufacturing, digitalization, automation, and sustainable industrial value creation in the context of Saudi Vision 2030. The event brings together industry, research, and political stakeholders to discuss strategies for industrial innovation and technological transformation.

Fraunhofer IST will be represented by Prof. Dr. Christoph Herrmann, institute director of Fraunhofer IST and Chairman of the Fraunhofer Group for Production, who will deliver a keynote speech. The focus will be on the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft's applied innovation model, expertise in additive manufacturing, AI in production, and energy-efficient and energy-flexible factories. In particular, the discussion will focus on how these approaches can contribute to industrial transformation and diversification in Saudi Arabia and promote sustainable innovation ecosystems.
