Photonics Hub Symposium »Hyperspectral Imaging«

On March 5, 2026, the Photonics Hub Symposium “Hyperspectral Imaging” will take place in Nierstein. Hyperspectral imaging is a key technology in optics that enables precise, contactless analysis of materials and surfaces based on their spectral properties. It is characterized by its versatility and high accuracy. The event will provide a comprehensive overview of current developments and future trends in hyperspectral imaging. In addition to the technological fundamentals, practical application examples and innovative uses will also be presented.

Thematic focal points are:

  • Technology & Components
  • Industrial Applications & Machine Vision
  • Medicine & Diagnostics
  • Impulses from Practice

The Fraunhofer IST will be represented by Dr. Michael Vergöhl, who will give a presentation on gradient filters.

THursday, March 5, 2026, 1:15 - 1:40 p.m.
