7th International Sodium Battery Symposium SBS-7

The 7th International Sodium Battery Symposium (SBS-7) is an international conference on the research and development of sodium batteries, bringing together researchers and industry representatives in Berlin from September 14 to 16, 2026. The event will focus on current scientific advances, technological developments, and pathways to the commercialization of sodium batteries for applications such as electric mobility and energy storage.

Fraunhofer IST will be represented at the event with a poster presentation by Kira Fischer, showcasing research findings on the environmental assessment of recycling processes for sodium solid-state batteries.
