Trade fairs and conferences

The OptecNet Annual Conference 2026 will take place on June 17 and 18, 2026, at the Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld. The annual conference is organized by OptecNet Deutschland e.V. and brings together representatives from industry, research, politics, and education in the photonics and optics sector. In addition to specialist presentations and keynotes, the event will feature an accompanying exhibition and a wide range of networking opportunities. The focus will be on current technology trends in photonics, including smart manufacturing, medicine and life sciences, as well as sustainability and resource efficiency.

In 2026, the event will also mark a special occasion: 25 years of OptecNet. The anniversary will be celebrated during the conference with an expanded program, reviews of the network's history, and a joint evening event. A total of over 200 participants from industry and research are expected to attend.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST will be participating in the accompanying exhibition with the topic of optical and electronic systems.
