Trade fairs and conferences

The International Suppliers Fair IZB will take place in Wolfsburg from October 27 to 29, 2026. As one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for the automotive supply industry, it brings together companies, research institutions, and industry decision-makers. As its lead topic, it focuses on “Powering Customer-Driven Innovation – Speed. Quality. Partnership,” the 2026 event will focus in particular on innovations, new partnerships, and solutions with future viability for mobility.

Key topics include: 

• Sustainable and circular mobility concepts
• New materials and production technologies
• Electric mobility and alternative powertrain concepts
• Digitalization, software, and connectivity
• Automated production processes
• Resource-efficient vehicle production

Open Hybrid LabFactory e.V. (OHLF) will also be represented at the IZB. As a scientific partner of OHLF e.V., the Fraunhofer Center Circular Economy for Mobility CCEM will be presenting itself at the booth.

At Fraunhofer CCEM, the Fraunhofer institutes IST, IFAM, IWU, and WKI pool their expertise to advance sustainable and circular mobility. The focus is on automated production systems, future interior concepts, Life Cycle Engineering (LCE), and sustainable product design. Together, they develop and evaluate new materials, production techniques, and digital methods – ranging from sustainable raw materials and resource-efficient manufacturing to the reuse and recycling of materials and components.
