ICSO 2026

The 16th International Conference on Space Optics (ICSO) will take place in Sorrento, Italy, from October 12 to 16, 2026. This internationally oriented conference brings together experts from various disciplines related to space applications to share the latest developments in optical, optoelectronics, and photonic technologies for space applications.

The focus will be on the following topics, among others:

  • Image sensors and radiometers
  • Spectrometers
  • LIDARs and LIBS
  • Metrology
  • Telescopes and large-aperture optics

Dr. Philipp Farr, group manager for precision optical coatings as well as optical and electronic systems at Fraunhofer IST, will also give two presentations on infrared coatings via magnetron sputtering and on the control of resonance peak shifts.
