International Battery Production Conference IBPC 2026

For the ninth time, the IBPC will take place in Braunschweig from November 4 to 5, 2026 as a major conference on battery production. Batteries are a key technology for the mobility and energy transitions. To develop high-performance, sustainable, and cost-effective battery systems on an industrial scale, continuous innovation in materials, production processes, and recycling concepts is required.

Fraunhofer IST is a scientific partner of IBPC 2026. The conference provides a platform for sharing the latest research findings and industrial developments across the entire battery production value chain. This year’s focus is on the following topics:

  • Sustainable Battery Production
  • Process Optimization for Lithium-Ion Battery Production
  • Recycling and Sustainability
  • Modeling and AI-Supported Battery Production
