Eurosensors 2026

The 38th Eurosensors will take place at ETH Zurich from 6 to 9 September 2026. This international conference is one of Europe’s leading events in the fields of sensor technology, actuator technology, and micro- and nanosystems. It brings together experts from academia, research and industry to present and discuss the latest research findings, technological developments and new application possibilities. The programme includes specialist lectures, poster presentations and opportunities to exchange ideas with representatives from research and industry.

The conference’s key topics include, amongst others:

Fraunhofer IST will be represented at Eurosensors 2026 with a poster presentation. Martin Rekowski will present the poster entitled “Robust In-Cavity Thin-Film Temperature Sensor Array for Real-Time Flow-Front Monitoring in Recycled Material Injection Moulding“.

At the heart of the system is a robust thin-film temperature sensor array that is integrated directly into the mould cavity of an injection moulding tool. The sensors enable the propagation of the melt front to be monitored in real time during the processing of recycled materials. This introduces a new approach to capturing process-related information directly within the tool.
