Circular Materials and Mobility Conference CIRMA
CIRMA 2026 is the second edition of the international conference series organized by the EU-funded ZEvRA project and will take place on November 24 and 25, 2026, at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden. The event brings together researchers, industry representatives, and decision-makers to discuss current developments in recyclable materials, sustainable mobility systems, and circular design strategies. Expert presentations, industrial demonstrators, interactive workshops, innovation pitches, and networking opportunities create a platform for exchange between academia and industry.
The main topics are
- Circular vehicle ecosystems
- Circular vehicle architecture
- Circular components
- Steel
- Recycled aluminum and lightweight alloys
- Composites and polymers
- Tyers and rubber
- Digital methods for the circular economy
The event is aimed at OEMs, suppliers, materials manufacturers, recyclers, research institutions, and policymakers. It promotes collaboration across the entire automotive value chain and helps translate scientific innovations into industrial applications for circular mobility.
Prof. Dr. Michael Thomas, an expert in circular products and processes at Fraunhofer IST and head of the Fraunhofer Center Circular Economy for Mobility CCEM, serves on the conference’s scientific committee.
The presentation program will be announced shortly.
