Trade fairs and conferences

Brainstorm2026 at phaeno in Wolfsburg is aimed at high school students and focuses on the question, “What’s next?”. On October 2, 2026, young people will gain insights into science, medicine, technology, and education and can learn about possible educational paths and career prospects.

The event centers on interactive booths where students can get hands-on: ask questions, participate, experiment, and experience science firsthand.

Representatives from various fields will offer insights into their day-to-day work, share their career paths, and highlight the topics that will shape the working world of tomorrow. Fraunhofer IST will be represented at the event as a member of the Fraunhofer Center Circular Economy for Mobility CCEM. Fraunhofer CCEM is participating in the event as a scientific partner of the Open Hybrid LabFactory and, as part of WeCampus WOB. The booths will feature presentations and interactive exhibits that especially invite students to participate and explore. Fraunhofer CCEM will demonstrate how the circular economy works in the automotive industry and the role that automated production systems, sustainable materials, and future vehicle concepts play in climate-friendly mobility.
