Application seminars 2026: Plasma technology for optimized adhesion
April 28-29, 2026 in Kopenhagen and Vejle; May 11-12, 2026 in Wolfsburg
In spring 2026, two application seminars on plasma technology for optimized adhesion will take place. A partner event with Tantec A/S in April and a seminar organized by Fraunhofer IST in May, with Tantec A/S and Plasus GmbH as partners. Both formats offer comprehensive insight into modern plasma technologies for improving adhesion properties in industrial applications.
The focus will be on the technological fundamentals and the practical application of atmospheric and low-pressure plasma processes. Participants will learn how surfaces can be specifically activated, functionalized, or coated to optimize adhesion properties and enable new material combinations.
A special focus is placed on the COAD® (Controlled Adhesion) process developed at Fraunhofer IST, which allows controlled and reproducible surface functionalization for industrial requirements.
In addition, methods of process control and surface analysis will be presented and the interaction between plasma treatment and diagnostics will be explained. The partner companies provide additional insights into automation solutions for series production and modern process diagnostics, including optical emission spectroscopy.
A key feature of both events is their high practical content: participants can treat and analyze their own samples on various systems. This allows them to experience theoretical content directly in an application context.
The seminars are aimed at specialists and managers from industry, production, and development who want to leverage the potential of plasma technology for their specific processes.
