Trade fairs and conferences

Formnext is the world's leading trade fair for additive manufacturing in an industrial context and will take place for the tenth time in Frankfurt am Main from November 18 to 21, 2025. More than 800 exhibitors and around 30,000 visitors from across the industry are expected to attend this year. In addition to additive manufacturing systems, the trade show will present a wide range of technologies along the entire process chain, from materials and automation to software and post-processing to quality control. The exhibition will be complemented by a wide-ranging stage program as well as awards, special shows, and seminars.

As a member of the Fraunhofer Group for Production, Fraunhofer IST will be represented at the joint Fraunhofer booth. The group is presenting a joint exhibit showcasing various additive manufacturing processes. Fraunhofer IST will be demonstrating how recycled plastics can be used in 3D printing and how 3D printing can be used to repair plastics.
