The Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST drives forward innovations for competitive products and production systems. Assistance for parents



In cooperation with a nearby daycare center, the Fraunhofer IST offers places for the children of employees. In addition, the Fraunhofer IST enables the temporary establishment of a mit-Kind-Büro (office with child) at the employee’s own workplace, e.g. in the event of the unavailability of the childcare provider or the daycare center.


Furthermore, a cooperation exists between the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the pme Familienservice, where employees can obtain fast and unbureaucratic help in emergency situations involving family and personal matters.
