Events and trade fairs

WindEnergy Hamburg is the world's most important trade fair for the wind industry. On the four days of the trade fair, exhibitors present their products and services and represent the entire value chain of the wind industry, both for the onshore and offshore sectors. Parallel to the exhibitions, there will also be specialist forums, conferences, workshops and lectures from politics, science and business. The trade fair invites participants to discuss and find out about innovations and upcoming developments.

The Fraunhofer IST is represented at the Fraunhofer joint booth in hall 5B-227. There the possibilities of smart screw connections will be presented: As part of the Fraunhofer research center IoT-COMMs in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institutes IIS, IST, LBF and AISEC, a solution has been developed for wireless, energy-autonomous monitoring of the pretensioning force of screw connections. The Fraunhofer IST will present the current developments in the field of thin-film sensor technology.
