Werkstoff-Symposium 2021

Vehicles of tomorrow for customers and society

The symposium will focus on new or alternative drive and mobility concepts with their specific requirements on vehicle architecture and their effects on customers and society. While materials play a central role with regard to the requirements on the vehicle architecture, for customers above all the driving experience and for society the effects on the environment are gaining in importance. With our deputy institute director Dr. Lothar Schäfer, the Fraunhofer IST is part of the program committee of the symposium. In addition, two lectures from the IST complement the conference program.

The keynote lecture of our institute director Prof. Dr. Christoph Herrmann on the topic of sustainable production and life cycle engineering will be the technical introduction of the event.
