13th International Conference on Coatings on Glass and Plastics ICCG (canceled)

Due to the corona pandemic, the ICCG13 unfortunately had to be canceled. The conference will possibly be rescheduled in a shortened version.


The International Conference on Coatings on Glass and Plastics is being organised under the auspices of Fraunhofer IST in cooperation with the international organisation committee of ICCG in Braunschweig for the fourth time already.

Under this motto the conference covers the follwoing components:

  • Hans Pulker Award & Poster Prizes
  • Networking on several social events


In the accompanying technical exhibition, Fraunhofer IST is presenting its latest research results and developments in the field of glass and plastic coatings. Furthermore several lectures from the Fraunhofer IST complement the scientific program of the conference:

Short Courses

8:30 am - 2:15 pm 

Before the start of the conference itself experts will give educational lectures to provide fundamental and technological background information on specific conference topics regarding materials, processes and applications.

Dr. Kristina Lachmann, head of the groups Surface Chemistry and Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Processes as well as Dr. Andreas Pflug, head of the group Simulation at the Fraunhofer IST will give a lecture. Kristina Lachmann deals with atmospheric pressure plasma and Andreas Pflug gives an insight into the low pressure plasma simulation. 

After the Short Courses, the Introductory Session takes place under the motto “Market and business in the field of coatings on glass and plastics“. Among others, Prof. Dr. Christoph Herrmann, director of the Fraunhofer IST, will give a lecture with the title “Contributions of Coatings to the Future of Mobility“.
