The event "Fachkräfte für die Transformation im NetZero Valley" (English: Specialists for Transformation in NetZero Valley) highlights the challenges and opportunities involved in training specialists for the energy transition in the Elbe-Weser region. Together with stakeholders from academia, business, education, and the labor market, participants will discuss perspectives and potential solutions for developing specialists in the field of net-zero technologies.

Fraunhofer IST will participate with a keynote speech by Marcus Gapinski. In his talk, he will provide insights into current developments, forecasts, and needs assessments, and will examine how the requirements for training programs in net-zero technologies will change in the future.

In the subsequent panel discussion, Marcus Gapinski will join representatives from the labor market, education, and business to discuss the challenges of training and recruiting skilled workers for net-zero technologies. The discussion will focus on workplace requirements, the possibilities and limitations of the regional continuing education system, and the opportunities that NetZero Valley and the associated Pact for Skills offer for securing a skilled workforce.
