After last year’s great success, the SC Battery Symposium 2024 enters its second round this year. The two-day program deals with current topics on battery research, production, handling and recycling, delving into critical aspects of battery technology. In addition to informative sessions, the event provides various networking opportunities.

The highlights of the summit are:

• Battery Supply Chain in SC and Beyond: Explore battery technology advancements in South Carolina and trends to improve robustness of its Supply Chain
• Battery Bootcamp: An interactive session designed to provide non-experts and supply chain companies with hands-on experience and insights into battery technologies
• Technical Symposium: A deep dive into advanced battery manufacturing, battery recycling and reuse, battery safety and logistics and more
• Networking Reception: Mix and mingle with speakers, sponsors, and attendees at Pearlz Upstairs Oyster Bar

Distinguished speakers and organizations will share their knowledge, such as Redwood Materials, Pomega, BMW, Scout Motors, the University of South Carolina, Fraunhofer, SC Department of Commerce, and others.

This year, Fraunhofer IST will be represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sabrina Zellmer holding a speech about advances in battery reuse and recycling.
